JCX Construction handles residential and commercial demolition across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. The goal is the same on every job: take the old structure out safely, keep the mess on your side of the property line, and leave a site that is ready to build on.
What we take down
- Sheds, barns, garages and other outbuildings
- Houses and small commercial structures where the scope allows
- Concrete slabs, driveways, patios and walkways
- Old foundations, footings and flatwork
- Fences, decks and other site structures
Before anything comes down
Demolition is mostly planning. Utilities have to be disconnected and capped, permits pulled where the jurisdiction requires them, and anything that needs special handling identified. Older structures can involve asbestos or other regulated materials, which are dealt with before the machine arrives.
After it comes down
Debris is loaded and hauled off. The pad can then be graded through site preparation or dirt work, or excavated for new foundations through excavation. Doing the whole sequence with one contractor means the lot is not left in limbo between trades.
Getting an estimate
Call or send the form. We will ask what is there, how big it is, what is attached, and what you plan to build after. Most estimates start with a site visit.

Demolition questions we get asked
What do you demolish?
Outbuildings, sheds, barns, garages and houses where the scope allows, plus concrete slabs, driveways, patios, walkways and old foundations. Tell us what is there and we will tell you if it is a fit.
Do I need a permit to demolish a building?
Usually, yes. Cities and counties in the metroplex each have their own demolition permit process, and many ask for utility disconnect confirmations before they issue one. We tell you what your jurisdiction needs for your property. Who files is part of the written scope.
Is asbestos a concern?
It can be. Federal rules generally require an asbestos survey before demolishing or renovating many structures, and older buildings are more likely to contain it. If a survey finds it, abatement by a licensed professional comes before demolition. We will raise it early instead of finding out halfway through.
Is hauling the debris included?
We write that on the estimate. Most demolition jobs include loading and [hauling off](/haul-off) the debris, so you are not left with a pile.
Can you take out just a slab or a driveway?
Yes. Breaking out, loading and hauling concrete is a common standalone job, and it is often the first step before a new pad, drive or [hardscape](/hardscape).
