JCX Construction installs underground utilities for homes, shops and commercial sites across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. The trench is where utility work succeeds or fails: depth, slope, bedding and backfill decide whether the line works and whether the ground over it stays level.
What we install
Water and sewer runs
Trenching and laying service lines and sewer runs from the connection point to the building, to the depth and slope required, ready for the licensed connection and inspection.
Drainage
Storm and site drainage pipe, catch basin runs and French drains that carry water away from structures. Often combined with dirt work so the grade and the pipe agree.
Conduit
Trenches for electrical and communication conduit to shops, gates, lighting and outbuildings.
How it fits with the rest of the job
Utilities usually go in after excavation and site preparation and before the final grade, pavement or hardscape. Having one contractor sequence those steps means the trench is not dug twice.
Before we dig
Public lines are located through Texas811 before digging starts. Private lines are the owner’s to know about, so tell us what you can: irrigation, a well line, gas to a pool heater, old septic, or anything an earlier owner might have buried.
Getting started
Call or send the form with what needs to be connected and where. We walk the route, measure it and write up the scope and price.

Utilities Installation questions we get asked
Which utilities do you install?
Underground runs for site utilities such as water service lines, sewer and drainage pipe, storm drainage and conduit. Tell us what the plan calls for and we will confirm what we can do and what a licensed specialty trade has to do.
Does a licensed plumber or electrician still have to be involved?
Often, yes. Trenching, bedding and backfill is excavation work. Connecting to a meter, a tap, a panel or a house plumbing system is regulated work done by licensed trades and inspected by the city or utility. We prepare the path and coordinate so that those trades can do their part.
Who calls for utility locates?
Texas811 notifies utility owners so public lines are marked before anyone digs. We confirm the locates are in place before we start. Private lines on your side of the meter are usually not marked by the public locate, so tell us what you know about them.
Why does backfill matter?
Pipe needs the right bedding and the trench needs to be filled and compacted in lifts. Loose or wet backfill settles, which shows up later as a dip in a yard, a cracked drive or a stressed line.
Can you run utilities to a new build or a shop?
Yes, trenching and installing the run from the connection point to the building is a standard job. We work from the plan or from the utility's requirements and the lines your builder lays out.
